How to Use Track Variances

Simubet found that setting one track variance time for a whole race card is insufficient as variances can differ sharply from race to race. Simubet feels that it should give harness race handicappers more information on the time variances in which a race should be run. Variances are dictated by track surface, weather conditions, pace, temperature, early or late pace and driver tactics. Simubet variances can be applied in the same manner as a Bayer rating for the thoroughbreds. After handicapping a race, the variances can be added or deducted from the final projected time in fifths of seconds. If for instance a horse has raced in 1.59.4 and the track variance for that race indicates 0.3 then the final adjusted time of that horse should read 1.59.1. Variances applied to each horse in the race will help handicappers to fine tune their final betting decisions.
